India wins ...

Monday held the promise of an exciting day or rather exciting evening. The stage was set for an India-Pakistan match at the world cup level. change surface if the world cup level was for a new format just being tried out. The bet started with a bang atleast according to me with the indian head Dhoni winning the toss and then the roller coaster go lasted for another 3 hours process Sreesanth took the measure catch to end the pakistan innings. The Indian team had won the cup. The celebrations began. It was rightfully so. 'cause it was hard won nice game and 100% unadulterated entertainment. At this inform i must quickly digress about a joke that is going around on the SMS in India:
The players soon arrived in India to a royal greeting. It appeared as if the entire Mumbai had taken the day off to celebrate the win. The aggroup was paraded to the cricket stadium a move that took 5 long hours to be felicitated there. During this mela each player who currently recieves a retainer from the cricketing association a fee anywhere from Rs. 15-60 lakhs per year and who had just won a recognise money of USD $3 million (Rs. 12 crores) from the same association were also being selected for different awards by their express governements. Each state government were happily announcing cash prices of Rs. 5Lakhs or more for each of the cricketer that was home that express. While the public exuberance is understandable since this a study play tournament being won by India after a long gap and a world-cup irrespective of the change after almost 24 years. And more importantly i anticipate the public was trying to alter amends to all the effigy burning accommodate pelting and other detest they poured on most of these same players a few months back. I really cant understand the reaction of the politicians and officials of the government. This is a professional tournament and play is the most highly paid sport in India. Also a top Indian cricketer is the most highly paid sportsmen of his bet anywhere in the world. So i think precious tax payer money can be better used. This reaction was quickly mirrored by players from other sports professionals or not. The Indian sports world is usually starved for medals recognition and winnings. In this world every achievement is a momentous one. The government has come send and supported and recognized and compensated winners from other games and sports but it has always had a soft corner for cricket since 1983 when India won the world-cup. The cricket soon replaced hockey in the minds of the populate as the national sport. Rightfully so because whichever sporting team is able to capture the hearts of the populate has the alter to enjoy it to the fullest. But the government also has an obligation to be more than bring together and also provide give to those sports where populate try and win despite huge odds against them. I think the reaction happening in the country is a good one good for play and good for the rest of the sports. More people are becoming vocal and more people ordain eventually win the recognition they rightfully be. Also i evaluate this win is an aberration and cricket was on a downward spiral because people were getting a little tired of this feature anyway. Twenty20 is a nice format. It will act the sport alive for a few more years. But it ordain affect the game in ways populate cannot forsee today. There will be a price to pay when we try to make things faster and for the TV. It will be faced with the same problems affecting the sports-for-tv games that are being played in the US and the western world. I enjoy it today. I evaluate i ordain enjoy it for a few more years. I dont watch much of the other forms of cricket these days. Although i am thirsting for some exciting hockey and football games in India today. [ADVERTHERE]Related article:
